Hunter is a passionate dancer, instructor, and coach specializing in Country Swing. His dance journey began at Oregon State University, where a college class sparked a love for movement and connection through dance. That spark quickly turned into a passion for teaching and sharing dance with others. Although Hunter dances many styles, his favorite is Country Swing, and is excited to be one of the many people helping to pioneer the development of the dance style. Originally from Oregon, Hunter moved to San Diego in 2024, bringing his energy and expertise to the local dance community. He is a certified dance instructor through Oregon State University and is currently expanding his credentials through the Kickstart Country Instructor Training Program. Hunter is an accomplished competitor in the Country Swing scene, holding titles such as the 2025 California State Champion (Lead) and 1st place in the Advanced Jack & Jill division at the Steal A Dance Convention, as well as 1st place in Progressive Freestyle Jack & Jill (Lead) at The Edge Dance Event. Above all, Hunter is known for his welcoming spirit and genuine care for his students. His Thursday night Country Swing class focuses on strong fundamentals, solid technique, and building a fun, inclusive environment for dancers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
