Michael Kiehm:
Owner/Director Starlight Dance Studio
Michael started teaching dance when he was only 17 years old. His first professional teaching job was for "The Journey", a young adult night club where he taught large groups of students to dance the Hustle and basic Cha Cha. It was not very long before Michael began teaching full time at a popular dance studio in San Diego. Within two years Michael was offered a teaching position with another more reputable studio in La Jolla, CA. Here Michael also implemented his other skills:
- Graphic artist/advertising specialist / Studio Management
It did not take long for Michael to realize his dream of owning his own studio, so in 1982 Michael opened the Starlight Dance Studio. Starlight Dance Studio has grown to six times its original size with over 30 very talented instructors and over 300 students and growing every day!
Michael competes, performs, coaches, judges, and hosts dance events throughout the year on top of his very busy teaching schedule. Michael holds a "Rising Stars" International Latin Champion title with his sister, Carmen Garcia and several "Pro-am" Ballroom & Latin Championship titles. At the present time Michael competes in West Coast Swing.

Ronnie DeBenedetta:
Ronnie has been dancing since 1994. Can you guess his reason for getting into dance? You got it! A woman. She was adamant: if he couldn't dance, there'd be no romance. Ronnie became a Country-dancin' fool. He threw himself into classes, private lessons, and competing. After two short years, he turned pro; he and his professional partner, Stephanie McPherson, were the UCWDC Worlds 2001 & 2002 Masters Division Grand Champions. He is currently competing in the Swing and Country circuit with Professional Brandi Tobias.
On his way up through the competitive ranks, Ronnie won many Grand Champion (Division One) titles with previous partners and, consequently, is well-known throughout the C-W dance world. He is a sought-after judge, M.C., workshop teacher, invitational competitor, and show-dancer.
Ronnie's quick sense of humor is legendary around the Starlight. His private lessons and classes are filled with great information and lots of laughs. Ronnie's alter-ego is an attorney. He finished law school in December of '98 and passed the Bar in California and Nevada. He isn't practicing yet, but is constantly on the look-out for his first lawsuit.
Ronnie is often invited to perform shows, judge competitions, and teach workshops across the United States, Canada and Europe.
